Melon Has Ripened

Mel’s party was ok. Although I’ve never been to a party where I knew so few people. Most of the people there were her family and stuff, so a lot of adults were there. It was surprising how many people turned up compared to the number of people she invited.

Sophie, Moo, Nicky, Chloe and Ket were dressed up as colours of the rainbow and we had to have a picture of me as Dorothy jumping over the rainbow. It wasn’t pleasant as the rainbow were laying down and I had to jump over them in quite a short dress. Not nice, especially for Ket. Then we ran down to the bottom of the rugby pitch with the “fellowship” (Zoe, Sam, Emma, Sabrina, etc). Lots of pretty pictures featuring shadows were taken, as well as running backwards and piling on top of the rainbow. Fun times.

My dog, acting as Toto has the unfortunate name of Spunky, much to everyone’s amusement. However, Spunky had a great night. He drank more than I did and he did the Time Warp, as well as spending most of the night dancing on the bench we were sitting at. He also spent a brief amount of time in Moo’s bra.

Sophie updated me on other people’s lives, which I appreciated a lot, seeing as no one tells me anything and I’m not close enough to them to know stuff. I guess it doesn’t really matter whether I know or not but it’s nice to have something to think about and to have that little bit of extra knowledge.

I’m afraid to say that I have not heard anything from McDonalds. However, I’ve checked my application status online and they haven’t actually rejected me yet. It just says “on hold”. Guess that means no but they haven’t told me that yet, so let’s not lose hope.

I miss Jess a lot. She’s in Cornwall at the moment, so she didn’t go to Mel’s but I’m not sure she would have gone anyway, to be honest. She’s not a Mel fan really, although she might have come, if I had forced her to. I want to meet up with her soon but we hardly ever see each other outside of school and now school has finished. Sadface.
